DISCLAIMER: I'm not a photographer, graphic designer, or anything near that. Take advice and suggestions from this entry at your own risk. I'm not responsible for underwhelmed and dissatisfied experiences. Lately, I've been into trying to achieve some sort of aesthetic to my Instagram feed---it just looks nicer that way. I don't use the full Adobe Photoshop. For one, I don't have the patience. Secondly, I just don't know how to use it, and I've never learned how to use it. I tried, cried, and it was over. I edit my photos through my phone using the mobile version of Photoshop--Photoshop Express. It's easier that way because I take photos with my phone, and I just don't own a fancy camera. Photoshop Express (PS) is great because it's very simple and straightforward. I've tried other photo editors, and their settings are not as detailed and broken-down as Photoshop Express. PS has a lot more settings you can play with. There are also some awesome filters, but I'd rather edit to personalize my photos. Here are the settings I use to fit the aesthetic of my Instagram feed:
Sharpness Clarity Shadows Blacks Vibrance I don't have the exact -/+ for each setting because it really all depends how under/overexposed a picture is. I'll just mess around with it until I'm happy with the edits.

Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and what better way to celebrate it than with good ol' Mr. Cuppa Joe. Here's how to make a beautiful Valentine's latte. Note: If you don't have a frother, you can use a french press. What you need: 1. Freshly brewed coffee 2. milk (whatever kind of milk floats your boat) 3. Starbucks Caramel Syrup (or vanilla extract, if you're not into Starbucks) 4. Pink and/or red crystal decorative sugar (if you want to make it look fancy) 5. Whipped cream (again, fancy factor) 6. Red food coloring (this one is ACTUALLY important) 7. Clear coffee mug (fancy factor AND important) Step 1: Measure your liquids. It's all eyeballing. You're only going to use 1/3 of your coffee mug for the brewed coffee and the rest is milk. Set the coffee aside in something you can pour with later (like a liquid measuring cup or something like it) and place the milk in a sauce pan. Step 2: Add 3 pumps of Starbucks Caramel Syrup and 3 drops of red food coloring. Heat the mixture BUT NOT TO BOIL! Step 3: Once the milk mixture is hot (but NOT boiling), pour it in a french press. If you have a frother, go ahead and froth it in the saucepan (ya fancy). Swiftly go up and down with the french press for about 30 seconds. You'll notice the milk mixture start to foam. Step 4: Once you have frothed the milk mixture, remove the french press lid and pour it in your coffee mug. Step 5: Now, the coffee that you had set aside will SLOWLY, emphasis on SLOWLY, be poured in the coffee mug. Use the round end of the spoon to help pour it slowly. Step 6: Whip out that whipped cream and sprinkle the pink sugar crystals!!
